Proper Drain Usage
The City of Cornelia would like to ask its citizens to join in cooperation with the City’s Water Pollution Control Plant in helping the City to maintain proper treatment standards, policies, and practices. The citizens can make a difference by ensuring that chemicals and household products are disposed of properly by not disposing of them down the drain.
Also by helping to conserve water you can help the City by not having to treat as much wastewater. The City has set a higher standard of treatment than is required by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) to make sure that we are doing our part in protecting the environment and our most precious resource, water.
If you have any question or concerns you can contact the Water Pollution Control Plant by email or call 706 778-6461.
